I’m thinking about applying through clearing, what do I do?
It’s quickly coming up to results day, and we want you to be prepared no matter what the outcome may be! Clearing is a secondary option if you don’t get your predicted grades, or change your mind about your course.
”Clearing is a part of the UCAS university application process. It is a way for universities to fill any spaces they have left for the new academic year. It gives applicants who do not hold an offer another chance of finding a university place.” (Credit: The Student Room)
First step…
Check the status of your application on UCAS. If it still says ‘conditional’ and you’re unsure why, google your uni’s contact details and give them a call as soon as possible to avoid confusion.
Second step…
Once you’ve decided which University you would like to attend, visit their clearing page to check for vacancies that are still available to accept applications for. Click here for University of Chester course vacancies page.

University of Chester lines are open 9:00 – 17:30 Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 – 16:30 on a Friday, with extended hours on the following dates:
Thursday 16th August 2018 7:00 – 19:00
Friday 17th August 2018 8:00 – 18:30
Saturday 18th August 2018 9:00 – 17:00
Sunday 19th August 2018 10:00 – 16:00

Fourth step…
Refer your application. Log in to your account via UCAS and you will need to select the option that says C55 – University of Chester with the course title and course code. Don’t forget to regularly check your application status as you will receive a confirmation e-mail once accepted.
Final step…
Okay so you’ve applied through clearing and secured your place, now it’s time to get ahead of the game and take a visit to the University and it’s surrounding areas if you haven’t already. University of Chesters’ main campus entrances are Located on Parkgate Road and Cheyney Road.
