Bars and Clubs
The Church
A gorgeous bar and restaurant set inside a renovated old church is the perfect place to spend your night. You can get reasonably priced food, drinks and great service, all along with a great student nightlife buzz. And with two cocktails for £9 on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, how can you really go wrong?
Rosie’s
A 3-story nightclub in the heart of Chester offers a unique experience for its patrons. Set over three floors, each floor offers a different music genre and visual experience. This nightclub is a student favourite, especially on Student Night.
Off The Wall
Off The Wall is without a doubt one of Chester’s gems. With very reasonably-priced food and drink, this bar is not one you want to miss on your night out. This bar has a bustling student nightlife and great music to keep you dancing ’til you drop.
Takeaways
Ahmed’s
You will not get a better Indian takeaway than this place! Time and time again, this restaurant has blown our socks off. It is also very reasonably-priced, available on JustEat, and has some great combo deals which suit for whether it’s just you, or if you’re ordering for a group. We recommend the onion bhajis!
George’s
When it comes to Chinese, this is the place to do it. With an extensive menu, great combo meals and available on JustEat, it’s not hard to see why this takeaway is a student favourite! Plus, the salt and pepper chips are to die for!
Smash Burger
This burger joint offers massive burger boxes which come in a big pizza box! You get a large combo of all of their fan favourites alongside two burgers. We suggest you order in advance, because they are so good, they are known to sell out! You can order through their Instagram.
Eateries
Shrub
A gorgeous local vegan restaurant located on the rows in Chester main town is the perfect place to breakfast, lunch and dinner! With an extensive food and drinks menu (including cocktails) and a totally Instagram-worthy aesthetic, we cannot recommend Shrub enough!
Jaunty Goat
A vegan-friendly gorgeous coffee shop and café! With locations on both Bridge Street and Northgate Street in the heart of Chester, this minimal Scandinavian-designed hub oozes good vibes and a happy heart. Check out their website to order their products as well!
CHIP’D
The clue is in the name! This Dutch-style chip shops offers perfectly cooked chips with an array of other Dutch snacks, as well as seventeen dipping sauces to try with your chips! They have vegan and gluten-free options and are located on Northgate Street.
We could go on all day about all of the amazing gems in our beautiful town, but unfortunately the list has to stop somewhere!
